Meet and Greet

As Venom began to point out the puppies to him, he was mostly very distracted by the little forms. Hovering a paw over them, careful not to disturb them as he picked out each one with his eyes. But as the process unfolded, he began to get a feeling that something was not wholly right. He squinted up at Venom in surprise and confusion. “They are lovely names, for lovely, perfect children.” He said, voice soft in the den full of sleeping puppies.

“It’s good to meet you too, Maverick. Anyone that makes Venom happy is a friend in my books. But, forgive me for interrupting your introduction - Venom, is there something wrong with your eyes?” He asked, his attention on the woman before him.
