Unlike her father, Aoife entertained no concerns about the ages of the would-be thieves as they came upon the raiding group. She remembered quite well what she'd been like as a yearling, and doubted they were anything but eager, informed participants, especially given the way the youngest among them leered around like they belonged there. Of course, given that even the youngest among them was far larger and far heavier than Aoife was even as an adult, she was unlikely to do much more than provide a distraction while the larger and stronger defenders made their way there. Not that that stopped her - no, Aoife showed no fear, only a fierce grin as she bounded past her father to throw herself into the fray. Of the wolves who'd already stepped into sight, they seemed about equal in size, though age and mutations set them apart. She set her sights on the older of the two, noting the tusks so like her own fangs and the weird crystal growths along his spine. Well, as long as she avoided the tusks, the growths were no impediment to her since she couldn't even reach them!

A larger, pale gold form flashed out of the long grass beside the bard, the amur leopard fulfilling her duty as Aoife's guardian as she closed the distance between the defenders and the raiders. Anja attacked the yearling face-on, slashing at his cheek with a paw full of claws. Aoife herself had veered to the side to try to round behind the youth, and now threw herself at his right rear leg, her fangs seeking to lacerate his lower thigh, while her own feline claws tore at either side of his lower leg. She didn't try for a grip at all, instead she kept her hindquarters coiled beneath her and ready to send her springing back.
