Some of the other kids tagged along, and Sparrow thought to stop them, but if they got absolutely wrecked, she figured it would be a good learning experience. The pups attending were decent fighters in their own respect too, so she wasn't too worried about them holding their own. Their size alone already dwarfed some smaller full grown wolves, and other than their puppy demeanor and floppy paws, they were nearly identical to some of the adults she had seen- a little roughhousing would leave them no worse for wear.
Calico Jack boasted that they might be too scared to show and Sparrow considered it for a moment. "Not a bad tactic if you don't mind others huntin on your land and don't want to risk hurting your members," she mused to the pup. Cowardly, sure, but if survival was the main goal then what could be done? Rexx scoffed at the idea of running away, saying it defeated the purpose. Sparrow shrugged, "Guess it depends on your personal point, and priorities... and I guess definition of participation. Making it out alive and not captured is always preferable."
Before she could lecture them further- a shame since her best lessons only came at inopportune times- a dark glowy man ploughed into her left side with his right shoulder. He was as large as she, but maybe a tad lighter in weight. She flashed him a smile as she reigned in her balance.
She pushed against the man and, as he intended to seize her cheek, sought to intercept tooth-on-tooth. It was a normal display of dominance- who would back away?
