Teenagers Scare The Living Shit Outta Me [RAID]

The indecision was rendered moot as Red found himself facing a large yearling racing his way with clear intent to attack. Red steeled himself, his mind clearing as the choice was taken away from him. He would defend himself, child or no - the boy had made his bed himself and would need to face consequences for it. Doubt remained of course, deep within, part of Red always focused on the knowledge that bringing harm to another meant harm to oneself, but accepting that harm as a necessity. Standing firmly he raised his hackles, bringing the mohawk of bristles along his neck into prominence. The boy was as tall as he was, but with the mawkish, gawky body of a teenager compared to Red's sturdy, mature frame, so rather than try to avoid the awkward rush for him Red dug his dull claws into the ground and settled himself like a stone to repel the lesser weight of his opponent. He didn't just wait for the youth to hit him, but rather as he came close Red slammed towards him with the sharp part of his right shoulder. Oh, it would hurt his own shoulder to hit so hard, certainly, particularly later when bruises and aching joints stiffened up, but it would be worthwhile to stop the boy in his tracks. As he did, he arched his neck, his mouth gaped open and he aimed to bring his jaws overtop the yearling's own muzzle from above, his saber fangs aimed to curve around the left side of Skald's muzzle in an attempt to force his head down and disrupt the attempt to grab Red's scruff - though he could have let him have the bite just to see the kid yelp when his palette met harsh spiny bristles, Red didn't want to risk drawing the fight out longer.
