Aurielle’s own coat made stealth a less easy task. The man was ready for her. Luckily, the armor she wore dampened the worst of the bruising, but she’d be wearing a good amount of bruise poultice clay when all was said and done and the battle had been won or lost. At least he’d have some bruises to tend, too.

His weight shifted to press on her as his jaws aimed toward her cheek, and Aurielle sought to abruptly let herself drop back a step or two, removing her support. He’d probably be smart enough not to let all his weight hang into that pressure, but if she could interrupt his balance even slightly, that would be fine.

His jaws missed her thanks to her abrupt disengagement, and she sought to lunge back toward the man, aiming a slash of her own sabers at Gilgamesh’s neck along the lower right side, well above the throat and away from any vitals.

Her weight shifted swiftly to her other three limbs as her tail swept out for balance, and she snapped up her left foreleg, aiming to slam it back down on the man’s right front paw in a solid stomp, toes flexing to hopefully dig the bear claws of her bracer in between his toes.
