Things were strange, but weren't they always? Things had never been normal in Hazel's world. It had been two years full of weird and weird alone. Two years of weird, and he had been with her through it all. She wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Curled in close to Bas's side, this is home. Wherever he is, that's where home is. Home is wherever they can be together. Nothing would come between them, not now and not ever-- Hazel was certain of that much. Hazel was no wilting flower, no damsel in distress, but she would let Bas keep her safe. It was the same way she'd keep him safe. They're inseparable for a reason.

His question caught her offguard, even though it probably shouldn't have. Hazel sighed softly, taking a long sip from the bottle between them. "What do you want it to mean?" Her voice was soft, nearly shy as she tucked against his side. It was a big question. It was an even bigger question for the girl who didn't really have anything to go off of, in terms of what a positive, healthy relationship should look like. Watching Seer with Zee for the last little while was one thing, but they'd been together forever and a day. What did someone do when they felt like this about someone, but when everything was strange and new? Hazel hadn't been big on the whole feelings thing before this point, and it was leaving her a little lost.
