Nothing like a raid to get your blood flowing

Avacyn's teeth do fight purchase on her opponent, but not exactly where she thought she might. The woman almost seemed to shove her paw into her teeth as she reached for her leg, causing her to clamp down closer to her paw and ankle than the leg itself. Regardless, Avacyn kept the hold on her ankle, biting firmly enough to keep her from pulling away and draw blood, but not enough to tear any muscles or break bones. She felt the older woman reaching over her with how her head was lowered and the second that she felt teeth scrape against her skull between her horns she immediately threw her head back, taking the woman's leg with her in the motion, and attempted to ram her head and horns into the bottom of the older woman's jaw. It did mean she got some pretty deep scrapes across the top of her head from her opponent's teeth, but it kept her from getting the hold she was likely going for. With the woman's ankle still between her teeth, Avacyn then yanked her head to the left while shoving her right shoulder into the Valta wolf's chest, wanting to throw her to the ground with the combination of pull and momentum.
