She was not a fan of these meetings. Really, she probably never would be. Meadow had been tucked away in the greenhouse until just before time to go, and she wasn't really ready to leave what she was up to. Something about transitioning from one thing to another really did throw her off, and changing gears was just... she wasn't happy with it. She tried to hide the scowl that threatened her features as she made her way to the meeting, but there was no telling if she was actually doing a good job or not. At least she still had the beeswax earplugs to dampen some of the noise that came with a pack this big meeting all at once.
As quietly as she could, the girl slipped into the meeting. Scanning the room, she considered going to sit with Bramble and Talyssa for just a moment before thinking better of it. What if they rejected her? What if they pretended they didn't know her? In front of everyone? No, no, no. Her heartrate quickened, catching sight of Caladia too. She'd gone off to talk to someone else, a badger? Weird. Meadow had seen pictures in books, but she hadn't seen the one that actually lived in the castle. Instead, the girl picked her way carefully over to where her mother sat beside Mercury, tucking herself into the woman's side. She tried to do it without drawing too much attention to herself, finding comfort and safety by Fern as always.
