To Replace What Was Broken
Kite Punishment

The laughter that bubbles from the tropical wolf seems to confuse the stubborn girl and she enjoys it… for a moment. However, when Kite speaks, her words send a jolt of pain through the red woman’s heart at the tone of sheer puzzlement in Kite’s from receiving a compliment. Keahi’s laughter dies away and she lifts a brow in silent question, gently saying, “I am complimenting you Kyanite. You are very smart and an extremely hard worker. Anyone who doesn’t see that in you isn’t trying to understand who you are. Heck, I bet you will be the Alpha one day.”
A genuine smile is on the woman’s lips as she speaks, knowing that Kite is tenacious and, if she wished to be the Warlord one day, she would. Begrudgingly, Kite gives in to the punishment and Keahi offers her another, this time gentle, laugh. Giving a nod, the woman says, “Well, first we need to construct the frame. These boards here,” a paw gestures at thirty-six thick wooden boards, “are precut to the specifications that Halo wished. You will be making boxes that can stack on top of each other. I will guide you on how to make them but you must do all the work.”
The hope is that the young Kite will get a better appreciation of all that goes into setting up a hive so that she will be more careful around them in the future. With a smile, Keahi adds, “You know, once you know how to make these, you could have your very own hive and all the honey you want.” Brows lift in amusement at the thought of Kite having free access to honey.
