Beautiful Mess

His cousin, per usual, had sent him off to scout around Nippon and see if anything new had surfaced. Everything seemed surprisingly stagnant, and thankfully he was not returning this time (to his knowledge) with a pair of bastards in tow. He had left knowing that his youngest litter was in good paws, with their mother, older brothers and the rest of Tojo Kai, but that didn’t mean it had been easy. It was a trip that took months to complete, meaning he’d already missed months out of their lives, and he was happy to get back to see them.

The man plodded along the coast with his owl and horned arctic fox in tow, the scent of the Kai heavy in the air. Finally, he broke past the border, and to his pleasure he was hit with the scent of his wife. Not only that, but his wife in heat. His mouth immediately watered and he stumbled in his steps. Good god, he hadn’t been expecting this sort of welcome. He made a beeline toward her, his gate quickening. Even without her alluring, spring timey scent, he had missed the woman deeply, in all of her sarcastic, witty, loving, brutally honest glory. Sedna was a one of a kind woman, and he couldn’t have asked for anyone better to have fallen into bed, then fallen in love with.

He let out a chuff in greeting, standing a few feet away with a bright grin on his scarred face. His nubbed tail wiggled with excitement behind his swarthy frame. ”Honey, I’m home,” he teased, affection shining in his golden gaze.
