Sparrow’s words stuck with her. While the Pirate King didn’t necessarily dissuade her from her endeavors of wanting to bring back a trophy, the woman made sure to mention it was normally only because those they were fighting tried to take something… it was something that Rivin would keep in mind but she wasn’t necessarily sure it would prevent her from making an attempt. Sure, whoever she was fighting would likely have more skill, but the idea of losing a body part didn’t scare her. After all, her father was Ignis. His own scars and lack of limbs were a testament to the battles he’d survived she was sure that he had won his fair share of them too. The girl took a small detour, gathering Lark and Feng, and they were off. It would be her first chance to test the benefit of the leg wraps she wore, and possibly her dagger. Her green eyes were shining. As much as she longed to win, she would take everything she could from this experience regardless of what happened. She’d follow the rest of them, lagging behind a little. Not out of cowardice, but curiosity. Auster was… strange. Interesting. They had come quite a ways to get to where they were. Rivin drew in a breath, and, as the sounds of fighting were heard ahead, the girl quickened her pace. Her comrades and the koi wolves were already getting into it… and ahh, it seemed there was a male that wasn’t engaged yet on the other side. Rivin smirked, the yearling setting herself up so that there was about six feet of distance between them. He likely saw her and her companions approach – it wasn’t as if she was trying to be sneaky and hide herself. A grin crossed onto her maw and she tilted her head slightly to the side. “Aren’t you a pretty one?” On her left Feng, her wolverine, practically danced on his paws, ready for blood. On her right, Lark the bobcat, stood ready at her side, gazing at the opponent that Rivin was sizing up. He wasn’t the biggest opponent, but he looked seasoned. He had fangs of some sort, a helmet, and something around his paws she assumed aided him in battle. She could see a companion with him as well, and, if her hunch was correct, the bird lingering in the sky above them could very well be his as well. “I guess it was rude of us to come by without an announcement… but while we’re here...” Rivin slipped into a battle stance. “Why don’t we make it interesting?” Her grin widened, a wilder look entering her green eyes. She could feel adrenaline rushing as her claws dug into the soil. “This is your home, right? Show me why I should remember the koi wolves!” Rivin challenged. She’d give him the first move. Perhaps she’d better see an opening if she did that. "Talk," 'Think.' |
