She knew well enough that a little love bite like that could be irritating and would sting. He turned to go for her then, and she was just a tad too slow to react in time. She felt hot breath against her ear, and the next thing she knew, she felt his teeth clamp down on her left ear. Snarling (how dare he make her produce such an unladylike sound!), she knew that if she ripped her head away, there was a chance that she could very well rip her ear. So instead, her little orchid mantis companion took its opportunity to jump onto Ajax's face, and she hoped it was distraction enough while she awkwardly rose a forepaw to give him a good slap, claws unsheathed. That would teach him to not be so rude to a lady!
