It was late afternoon. A light spattering of clouds rolled lazily across the sky. Spring had sprung and was quickly bringing Summer along with it. The air was warm and humid, almost sticky on their fur as the two girls made their way to who knew where. Having just ate, bellies full, and full of tons of energy, Delphi had convinced Unagi to go on an adventure. At first, their adventure was to stay within the bounds of Emerald Valley. That was the safe zone as their parents would be able to save them if need be. Except, unfortunately, this time, Delphi had led herself and Unagi toward a wide gaping hole in the side of the mountain. The entrance to Descensum was enticing. Thankfully good dad Oki was following in the shadows without their knowledge. Truthfully, it was a scary place to anyone who wasn't a fearless pup ready to take on the world. They were fearless though and when the two girls had seen a couple of weasels scamper off into the shadows of the cave, they had to follow! Unagi had mentioned she wanted to try out hunting and Delphi was happy to go along with it because why the heck not! "I think they went in there!" She squeaked in her too high vocals as she paused at the entrance to the cave. Water dripped from the ceiling as she peered into the darkness. A slim trail led down into the depths where the sound of a stream could be heard. "You thin' there's plants down there?" Delphi asks as she turns her bi-colored gaze to her larger sister. While some of her siblings wanted to fight and hunt, Delphi wanted to explore and experiment. If she could find something new, she would be more than happy. |
