Shake N' Bake

She decided that she was going to get a headstart on patrolling before her mom got up! Sure, she was still young and tiny AF, but she had the heart and soul of a creature much, much bigger than her and so she opted to take this mission on alone. She bounded out of the den and headed towards the beach side of the border. It was early, and chilly, and she was shivering. Okay this was unpleasant, but she wanted to show mom and dad that she could do anything everyone else could do! Paws carried her along the border where she stopped and sniffed every so often to see if anything interesting had come around. So far, nothing. Shame. She really wanted to show off the bodyguard skills she'd been practicing. How could she do that if there was no danger? Or someone to chase off? Almost as if something was reading her thoughts, she heard a rustle in the bushes just beyond the borders, causing her to freeze and jump slightly before turning to face the shaking bush. Narrowing her gaze, she bared her teeth and unsheathed her claws. "Who goes there!?"
