The older male moved fluidly, with much more expertise than Bronze had, which wasn't surprising but still made him insecure about his next move. Surely Sirius didn't expect perfection, but falling too short wouldn't leave a good impression either. The larger male took the impact of his blow with ease, hardly swaying as they collided. Sirius lifted a paw to slam it down on his own, something Bronze didn't expect and didn't manage to pull away from.

His attack also landed on the side of his face where his cheek and ear met. Instead of trying to wriggle free, knowing how devastating such an injury could be if he pulled away from it, instead he clenched his jaw tight and tried to withstand the bite. As he did so he tried to kick off hard with his back legs, hoping to push into the attack rather than away from it, hoping it might offset Sirius's balance even slightly.
