Lucette had been busy, not that Gav was surprised. He’d seen her around with Bae-Syl, at least when he wasn’t busy with patrolling. The young man was dutiful, and Gavroche could see his efforts. He was glad that his daughter had made such a friend, bonding with him. He chuckled as he made his way to the den Lucette had set up for her herb storage, hoping to find her there. He could see how happy Bae-Syl made her, and… it reminded him of when he and Bellamy were a bit younger, back in Lyenne. He could see those bonds growing stronger. It would be good to let his daughter know that he wanted her to trust her heart. He approached the den, calling out, just on the chance Bae-Syl was around too so that they wouldn’t get startled. “Luce?”
