The girl is unaware that soon her adopted grandfather would be taking his departure. She also does not know that he won’t be gone forever, but when the news gets to her, she will be devastated. Delphi enjoys her time with the Viking. The way he inspects her teef, carefully playing with her, and giving her his undivided attention, she revels in it. She respects him, adores him, loves him as if she were his real grand pup. How could she not want him to stay?

As she stares at him with that adoration in her gaze, she smiles even bigger. Of course his day would be great when its spent with her! She was the BEST! Another giggle leaves her lips as she once more buries her chin into his soft fur. “I think first, we take a nap right here!” There is a sleepy hum to her breath as she closes her eyes. “You are very comfy gramps,” Delphi murmurs as her tail wags happily. “But then! Afterward! We should go explore the valley some more!” Her voice is an excited squeal as her head pops up, bleary eyes blinking away the sleep as she stares at him for a few seconds before putting her head back down.
