The praise has her borderline beaming. Something about approval, and not just from anyone-- from Mort. It makes her happier than she'd admit out loud, and that's okay. "Juniper, this batch is mostly for market so I wanted to make something really special." She perks up, happy to chatter away about the spirits. Though it splashed, Halo remains relaxed as she holds the pail steady. "You don't need to apologize, it's awfully heavy." She wags her tail softly as they work together, the pails filling with clear liquid.

"How have you been? How's being home?" She inquires softly as they work away, tone of voice conversational and gentle. While Halo wouldn't push... well, sometimes friends know when something is off. The girl was equally surprised that they hadn't seen Hikaru yet, figuring he'd be back by now. Strange indeed.
