Ship wrecked

Hours seemed to have gone by and I couldn't even find the strength to lift my lids. Even breathing seemed nearly impossible at this point. My body hurt, my bones ached my muscles felt as if they were of no use. I had been stranded amonsgt the sea for so long, no water no food my body was exhausted. I never knew just how much I relied on those two leggers until now. They kept me fed, they kept my hydrated. Now I had nothing. I could feel the droplets of water stinging my flesh, the rapid cold salty waters of the ocean rolling up and covering me like a blanket and then vanishing. I was like a person in a coma.. I could hear everything, I could feel everything, but I just couldn't move. My body remained limp against the thick, mushy grainy sands. As the storm continued I could feel my body tremble, helplessly. Such a sad sight. A brute of my stature so helpless. Everything I had ever lived for had demolished. Could you blame me? It was then as I was once more falling into the black ness that I felt the warmth against my own drenched cheek. It felt nothing like the roughness of the captains hand.. It was soft, well what I could gather anyway. Only one ear offered a twitch.. Maybe this was it. Maybe this was my angel coming to whisk me away? No that could not be possible.. For the lives I had slain surely it was one of the devils little minions come to drag me to hell. To burn in the firey depths. Either way I was willing to join them. To all for once disappear into the darkness. Just as I went to inhale what I thought was my last breath, something else happened. The sweet lyrics entered my ear drums. Taking me by complete surprise. Which in fact forced me to struggle to lift my own lids. Piercing blue orbs fixed upon the one before me. Surely it must be an Angel, no way a demon could hold such a beauty! Why even against the blackness of the storm and furiousness of the thick rain her vibrant beauty shone above it all. Of course I had to blink a few times but didn't offer to move. I remained stunned. This couldn't be reality, it had to be death. Or perhaps the lack of nutrients had be seeing things? Was she an illusion? Just something my mind created and projected out of no where. Might as well humor myself either way. Aye'
Was all I said before going to attempt to force myself upon all fours, which by the way was a horribly failed attempt. I got perhaps half way up before my own massive body collapsed with a thud back to the mucky earth beneath me. My own words, a thick heavy accent escaped once more in a rather broken sentence as my lids closed again. Lass, if its an angel you are, I be ready. Won' put up a single struggle this time'!
As my lids closed once more I muttered out again, almost as if I were at a delusional point. This time words barely audible. Afterall, a dead man, he tells no tales now do' he.
And once again my body had went completely useless. Breaths still slow. |
