It wasn't, however, what he had been seeking her out for, something that was quickly apparent as he continued. Corbie listened with quiet curiosity, and her expression softened into a pleased smile. She'd wanted Avalon to be someplace that people could find their calling in safety and security, and it seemed that she had managed to succeed with Balian, her most unusual pack member.
