She felt his frame tense at her sudden contact but just as quickly he relaxed. A smile started to grace his features but the moment she mentioned their father, a snarl made his lips twitch. Confusion fluttered over her. Had something happened to him? Ears flipped back loosely as she awaited an explanation. Her brothers dark crown lowered, his ears coming into red view. Eyes widened in shock. Their father had done this? Why would her mother ever be with someone so cruel?! A low whine slipped from creamy jaws. "He wasn't like that to mom was he?" Immediate outrage lit up her eyes, turning gems into pools of fire. Hackles began to bristle as she demanded an answer from her brother. She would destroy anyone that laid a paw on her mother!
