Her arrival at the den, had been tempered with her soft words to the woman inside, a reply from her patient was all the invitation she needed, and as she was about to squeeze inside the den, she scented the arrival of their king, and the father of yet another brood. Giving him a passing glance, and with it a light coy smile, she learned the name of her patient, Narsha. That would be useful, as she dealt with her. Pushing into the den, she cast a glance over her shoulder, and spoke to her king, "Coming?" She had learned from Argent's birth that not all females had the revulsion of the father of their children witnessing their birth, whatever, for her personally, he wouldn't be around if she could help it. Squirming into the earth, she followed her nose mostly, to the other woman and spoke, "Narsha, I'm Eris, I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting." She spoke briefly, before placing her herb bundle on the ground, nosing it apart and pushing some herbs towards the mouth of the other dame. "Eat these. The vervain will help with the pain, and the small leaves in the mixture will give you strength. I wish I could tell you this would be easy, but as our king says, you're giving birth to our kingdom's future, and I'll be here throughout, dear." Nearly accidentally, she had stumbled upon a place where red raspberries grew and remembered the berries from, her time with Ezra, they helped give strength to the mothers while in labor, or to a wolf trying to heal from a serious injury. The find was ingenious and amazing. In her own belly, she could feel her pups squirm, and she carefully wrapper her tail around her where she crouched, comforted by their presence. Speech... |
