Even with the impending threat of the charging bear, his sister obviously wasn’t swayed. He watched in sudden surprise as Rivin darted forward to meet the massive predator head on. Not a second thought. Brave or stupid, he couldn’t tell. And while he would have liked to have a better idea as to how this was going to go down, he wasn’t about to leave Riv to fend for herself. Much like he did when he and Seph were fighting together, Aresenn made a mad dash in a wide arch to get on the opposite side of the beast. It was entirely engaged with his sister, so approaching it from its hind quarters was relatively simple. Though, when he got close enough to make contact, Aresenn launched himself forward, catching the back of their opponent's leg in his splayed jaws.
With as much force as he could muster, he tore into flesh and muscle. That certainly got its attention. And as it tried to spin around to get at him, the Praetor boy did his absolute best to maintain his death grip, propelling his body sideways to avoid getting swiped as much as he could manage.
