The pack to the north had fallen. Víðarr could feel something in his bones, in his very soul. A tug on the little red string that held them all together. The call of his gods. It's a call that echoed in every breath, every wet throb from the lump of meat within his ribs. All of it held such promise. All of it held such beautiful things. His posture was upright, proud. A call shattered the silence, the serenity of the day. He wouldn't be alone in his bid-- good. Víðarr would forever be fated to fight. This was no different.

As she melted into view, the shadow appraised his opponent. A girl. She was shorter, lighter than his own massive frame. Drawing to what he deemed an appropriate distance before speaking, Víðarr allowed a smile to wash over his rugged features. "You will fight me." He would not chase the humor from his words. Víðarr stood tall, weight carefully distributed over all four paws. Confidence radiated from the large, shadowy figure. The gods had already determined how this would end, who was he to distrust their judgement? All he needed to do now was fight.

"Ladies first." Víðarr dipped his chin, an invitation. She could start them off, he didn't mind.
