The Warlord treated this fight as an assessment. He watched the way his son managed his companions, and how they worked in unison. What stances Charlie prioritised, and how he began the match. His son was determined, and it showed in his movements. When Charlie closed the ground, Sirius was ready. His own stances set, and his weight rolled into his core position. When his son collided against him, he absorbed the impact. But Charlie had gotten so big somewhere along the road, and the impact still rattled the Warlord. He knew he would be feeling it later.

Charlie’s head turned as he collided, and the Warlord felt the tip of his son's sabre graze against his cheek. The Warlord opened his muzzle with a snarl, turning his head into his son’s. Attempting to bat the younger boys muzzle away. At the same time, he raised his right left paw and twisted his leg enough to pop out the blade that lay in the sheath of the bracer there. Attempting to bring his leg up and hook it behind Charlie’s, so he could press the blade against the vulnerable joint behind the knee.
