Sister Time!

Elowen had approached her about going on an adventure and there was no way that Callie would miss it. The girls had set out from Hallows with little Puff hitching a ride on the shorter girl’s back. The small stoat had been the only stipulation that their mother had given them. So, with the stoat paws twined in Callie’s fur and is enjoying the ride as they approach the dark woods, the girls happily charge on. They stop at the edge of some really dark woods and Callie stares at the swirling mist and unknown before them.

The hodgepodge colored girl’s nose works and she finds the scent of several prey animals coming from within the woods. Elowen speaks and Callie turns her bright eyes to her sister. Her tail wags fast behind her as she chirps, “This is perfect! You’re the best at finding things Elowen!” Paws dance with excitement as the girl turns her gaze back to the fog, peering deep into the darkness, with great and genuine curiosity. A nervousness stirs in her stomach but the girl pushes it down as she bounds toward the forest, shouting loudly, “Lets gooooooo!”
