The worms all at his feet were trying to crawl up his legs, and he started to kick them off, flinging them away. His patience had already run thin, a snarl erupting from his maw as he turned away and headed back toward where he came from. Whether the girl and the boy got swallowed up by the swarm, Sephiran didn’t care. Hell, later on, he could return and feast on their bodies if that happened. He would be returning at a later time to continue his search for his plant… but for now, he would recede back into the shadows.
