Evelette had placed her trust in too many, she held too much kindness and not enough cruelty and people used her. They abused her good nature, took from her what they would and left her alone. Again and again, she made the same mistakes, it was why she was so hesitant to rejoin a pack, to become part of a company once more meant placing within them her trust and Evie did not think she held much of that left, but that did not mean she was bitter and angry. No... she was a kind and gentle soul, she always had been and she always would be. It was a fact, and her heart would not allow her to abandon such a wounded creature no matter how cruel or vindictive they might have been.

She spoke as softly as she able over the heavy pounding of the rain. He didn't seem to be injured, dehydrated and malnourished, but nothing that wasn't fixable. He needed help, would not survive the week without it and she did not think twice about accepting the role. He spoke, his accent strange and bizarre but reaching her audits with ease. She smiled encouragingly as he attempted to stand, but that smile quickly fell as he slumped back to the earth. His words were groggy and barely discernible but she understood them, shaking her head slightly, a gentle smile painted upon her maw.

"I am no angel my friend, of that I can assure you. Evie. Call me Evie." Her words were soft, gentle, and she debated her next best course of action. In all reality, there was only one. She brought the tip of her snout to his ear once more. "I'm going to move you off of the beach, get you outta the rain. This might hurt a touch, but you need to be free from the cold."

She coiled her teeth around his scruff as gently but as firmly as she could. She knew she would puncture his flesh but she had no way else of moving him. Using all of her strength and body weight, she dragged him across the sands and towards the trees. He was damn near unconscious now, it was a kin to moving dead weight, but she wouldn't give up. Her muscles screamed their protest against his weight but she ignored her own body for now. She dragged him beneath the cover of the trees, one of the larger blocking the majority of the unrelenting rain and released him. She lapped at the wounds, apologizing for them, before sticking her nose to the earth.

Rabbit holes were frequent in these parts, and she couldn't bring him fresh water, he would need to rise to reach fresh water to get up, he would need energy. She tracked down one of the holes the heavy rain, forcing the rabbits closer to the surface. he claws tore through the moist dirt as she dug for the creature and when it sprung free, her jaws snapped forward, catching and breaking its neck in a split second.

She raced back to the fallen wolf and dropped the hare, mere inches from his maw. She curled her body around his back, feeding him whatever little warmth she possessed. She wrapped her neck around his own, listening from the dull thrum of a pulse. It was still there, he was still alive. She curled as tightly against his body as she could, unsure if he was still conscious or not.

"Its not much, but a hare should give you enough nutrients and energy to make it to the river, I will help you once you awaken." She murmured against his ear ever so softly. A part of her thought that maybe if she could just save his life, do something right for once, that maybe, she would gain a bit of redemption.
