Mortis hadn’t seen Dee around since he had returned to the Armada. The mute girl liked to collect herbs for Halo. as far as he could tell, none of her memories had resurfaced. But he wanted to check in with her. Ensure that she was happy with things the way they were, and that there wasn’t anything more that they could be doing for her.

Halo told him that Dee could be found out in the North side of the woods, gathering herbs for her. He didn’t like to go too far from Halo so soon before the kids were born, but he also knew he couldn’t hover that much. So he left his Kea watching over, and made his way into the woods. “Dee, are you there?” He called out as he approached the location Halo had mentioned.
