Expanding worlds. Expanding universes. Their worlds were only going to get bigger, broader, wilder. Warden didn’t know exactly what that was going to look like, but he knows it’s going to be big. Everything is going to be big. Everything is going to be wild and wonderful, and he’s ready. He’s so ready.
They could be outside. This was the best development so far. Wylan had already developed a habit of dragging him here and there, but really? Warden was perfectly happy with that. The two of them were already thick as thieves. He was happy to be out, happy to be in the world, happy to be doing things. If he could do them with Wylan, that was all the better.
As for the tree? Warden wandered up to it, sniffing at it casually. “Bet we can, maybe if we help each other?” It was tall, but seemed to come together before him like rungs of a ladder. The boy looked to Wylan, eyebrows raised. Who was going first?
