Ah huh! It wasn’t long before the pale form of Zion came into view. Grinning like a lunatic, the winged wolf lay beneath his leaves (which definitely quivered with the rise and fall of his breath) and waited for her to come closer. Closer, a little closer. Even Wylan didn’t notice the root, he was far too entranced by his game, and keeping himself from giggling out loud.

When he judged her close enough, he launched himself out of the leaves with as much velocity as he could master. He snapped his wings out each side as fast and as hard as he could, and let out a squeaky roar. Which was as deep as the pup could manage. “Roooooar, I’m going to eeeeat you!” He snarled at his sister as he used his momentum to leap forward in an attempt to fall onto her.
