The Valhallan King started to settle into his defenses, his grounded companions flanking him and likewise, hers did the same. She was feeling sore, but the adrenaline at the prospect of another fight against him gave her a sort of renewed energy, though she was sure this would be her last fight for the day...and probably for the next few days. She shook herself out real quick, her bone armor rattling as she prepared herself. Seymour was in the air, circling high as he watched the field below, ready to dive in should he need to, while Umbra and Nox kept their eyes on Ardyn's companions.

Ardyn came at her, the larger male coming to close the distance between them, and Medusa held her ground, limbs bent as she prepared to move. As he drew close, she saw his fangs come towards her face, and she took the opportunity to move at last. Her jaws snapped towards his as she surged forward, seeking to lock jaws with his own, though with her slightly smaller stature, her jaws aimed beneath his and she sought to wrap her teeth beneath his bottom jaw.

His leg sweep was successful, an attack she hadn't focused on too much since she was focused mostly on protecting her face. Oh well, her leg came out from under her, and she decided that if she managed to grab his jaw, then she would suffer the scrapes and hopefully, take him down with her, or at the very least drag his head down and give him some whiplash.
