He didn’t have to wait long. After calling her name, he saw the tawny wolf bounding towards him. He grinned at the yearling, already moving a wing to offer her an embrace if she wished for it. When she pressed her cheek against his shoulder, he draped his wing lightly around her. There was no pressure beneath his soft wing, and she could pull away without any trouble if she wished. As she took a step back and looked at him, he believed he understood her question well enough. “I was just coming over to check in and see how you were doing” He explained. “Are you happy?” He asked softly, looking at the mute carefully. |
