Gonna draw your last breaths, at the end of our Mek’Leths

Adrenaline surges through Andy’s veins as the raiding party makes landfall and the girl’s heart thunders in her ears. Up to this point, all of the lavender girl’s training has been spars with family and packmates or fighting off predators. But this raid is a whole different beast and one that makes her stomach drop down into her toes with anticipation while her heart leaps into her throat with excitement. The Raider that sizes her up goes unnoticed by Andy as she wrestles with the way the adrenaline sharpens her senses and blows some of her finer motor skills, making each step jerky as she goes.

Leo alerts her with a loud hiss and Andy’s head jolts sideways at the sound to find a slightly taller girl barreling down on her. The antlered Raider girl has her head down is charging toward Andy’s unprotected side and, in that moment, all the training that had seemed to flee her mind finally slams back home. A sharp whistle is given and her two snow leopard companions detach from the long shadows that dawn has created to rush toward the attacker in the hopes of either slowing or altering the Raider girl’s path.

At the same time, Andy pivots her body, throwing her hind end to the side so that she is roughly facing the attacker straight on. With a grin on her lips, she lowers her kudu horns, tucking her chin so that the other girl’s antlers slam into her own. Toes splay as she grips the earth, working to absorb the shock of their antlers colliding while also attempting to uses her momentum from the pivot and clash to flick her head sideways in a bid to send the other girl’s antlers harmlessly off to the side. The pair look more like wild animals dueling than wolves at the moment but Andy finds herself enjoying the chance to fight with her horns in a different way.
