Silas didn’t know what the future would hold, his young mind couldn’t really grasp the weight of the promise that he made his father. Anything past the next day was just too far into the future for him to comprehend. As of that moment, he would always come back, he was afraid he would get lost otherwise. And yet the boy desired so badly to see the world. There was so much more to the world than these castle halls, and he hadn’t even seen all of them.

At the moment he wished that he could jump into the painting and explore the environment that was fabricated upon the dusty surface. He questioned his father, but the man didn’t know any more than he did. Their information was limited, it wasn’t like there were more paintings… but maybe there were.

Artorias echoed his own thought process, it was impossible to know the many possibilities that could have unfolded in the still picture but in the end, the Aegis asked what his son believed. ”I don’t know. I feel like… the white beast is the good guy. Look at how white and pure it is.” Silas reasoned. There were not many naturally occurring white beasts, for obvious reasons. They were much easier to notice and hunt. This creature had to be different. ”The hunters are wrong to kill something so special.” He said determinedly.
