He can't help but break into a grin when she whispers in his ear. It's silly, really. He's struck by the silliness of it, dropping the too-serious thoughts in his head after a moment. This could be fun, if it was Deluge. He'd allow that. She wraps her arms around the boy, and Dread moved to wrap right back. He'd hold on for what he was worth, trying to maintain his grip. Yeah, that was... that worked, right? He thought so. The silly pickup lines had him chuckling softly, almost in spite of himself. Dad said this was a serious raid, but... well, it was hard.
