what's tomorrow without you?
tenshi

He had the plan in mind. It was good, in his mind, if not a little extravagant. While he was bad at words, bad at feelings, things with Tenshi were different. Like she quieted the storm in his head, like she quelled the poor feelings. His moods are less stormy, his head is clearer. The amount of effort she put in, too? She'd picked up his mother tongue. She'd made an effort to get to know his sisters. She made the shadow king feel at peace in a way that he couldn't begin to describe. Tenshi was everything, as if Víðarr hadn't already known that.
He'd been waiting for the dust to settle after the pack challenge, waiting to really do things right. Víðarr had stumbled upon the tunnel and cavern network that would bring him all the way up to the peak, high in the sky. It was a dangerous one, and he made a mental note to block off the trail so the pups couldn't go mucking around up here. Still, for what he wanted, it was absolutely perfect. The viking king had already been up there once for today, setting up a meal and some plush furs to curl up on. They'd be able to go up, eat, watch the sunset, drink some mead... and he could ask his question.
In the soft light of the autumn afternoon, the sun beginning to drift down in the sky, Víðarr sought Tenshi out. His words are simple, and he's determined to act as normally as possible. This would be a surprise, if he had any luck. "I found another path up higher, come explore it with me?" Víðarr spoke softly, the flicker of a smile in his tone.
