Mortis’ lips twitched in a smile at the smaller wolf’s exclamation. It had been a while since Mortis had fought anything but predators, and he was feeling a little rusty. Add that to the fact that he was being careful with the yearling, and this fight wasn’t as intense as it could have been.

As he collided with the Raider, he felt a paw hook in behind his foreleg. It skidded a couple centimeters forward before he raised it off the ground. Hoping the sudden lack of tension would unbalance Diablo. In the same instant, he ducked his head to the side in an attempt to dodge the wolf's horns. he couldn't avoid the attack fully, however, and felt them graze across his skin. He dove his wings inwards. Aiming to stab the pointed ends of his wings into each shoulder of the other wolf.
