Adrenaline flooded through her veins in every second, that deeper part of herself craving pain, but this time Rivin held back… just a little. It was because of that eagerness, and her mixed thoughts lately, that she wasn't really sure what she wanted anymore. What was "right" or appropriate. She was questioning a lot of things when she should have been more focused on her fight. Maybe she would have seen the counter coming and attempted to switch gears.

The man would move before her, lowering his head and lunging to close that remaining distance. Her head jarred as their antlers connected and a snarl slipped past her lips. Pathetic… The voice inside her scoffed. She knew it was referring to her. She dug her claws into the earth, nose to nose with the stranger before her. Her head throbbed, vision swimming before her, but Rivin didn't want to back off. He would try to throw her and the dire felt had to readjust her angle in an attempt to keep their horns locked. No, she wanted him in front of her.

Reactive, and without hesitation Rivin sucked in and spit toward the male's nose. If anyone would back off, it would be him! Lark flanked one side, seeking to provide aid to Rivin should her disorientation lead into a stumble in a moment, whereas Fang did what he did best; he sought to sink his teeth into the male's foreleg on the other side of the cat.
