It was early afternoon when Kite finished her hunting lessons. Learning to hunt in the daylight, blindfolded, was not her favourite thing to do. She was grumpy as she stomped through the woods. Lioness at her paws, leading her back towards the Col. All she could think of was her bed, and dozing until the far better hours of night. Instead, she was waylaid as a voice called out to her. She paused, trying to place the wolf for a moment, before realising who it was. It was the healer who had helped her a little while ago. Silent had kept her promise to tell no one of her bumbling foolishness, and for that she was grateful. It also didn’t do to upset a healer you could trust. She packed down some of her annoyance and pointed her nose in their general direction. “Oh, Hi Silent” She said back. |
