He had only managed to pull his opponents foreleg forward a bit, but not as much as he would have liked. His grip slipped off when Mortis withdrew his leg, causing Diablo to stumble and semi-lose his balance. He dove forward in an effort to at least try and hit something if he was gonna go down, mohawk bristling as he sought to collide his skull and bristles with Mortis' chest. Just in time for him to sort of dodge the wings that came at him. One of Mortis' wings glanced off his right shoulder, leaving a mild laceration while the other missed. With a snarl, Diablo reached out once more, teeth seeking the tender flesh of Mortis' armpit.

He was far from a decent fighter, though still not something he'd admit.
