As she jumps to her paws, Gilgamesh recognizes her. They have fought before. Here on these grounds. Blood was spilled between them making this all the more interesting. Since they had fought last, it appeared that both of them had risen to power. A smirk begins to draw over his lips as her energetic voice rings out. Ah, Medusa, yes. The name is even more familiar as he spies her skeletal-like markings. Hopefully she would not disappoint him and grown soft since obtaining her own pack.
His mind reels quickly as he watches her shoo the child off to the side. While he was an asshole for the most part, he so much of one that he would attack her while situating herself. If she wanted to give the kid a few pointers, he would be happy to oblige. This was more so to keep him from being bored anyway.
Shifting his body so that his paws are spread slightly, muscles loose, ears flicked back, he watches. Even as she pounces in his direction, he is ready. No longer is he Gil, the drunk Pirate, ready to be knocked off of his paws. Now he is Gil, Raid King, ready to take down everyone in his path. Which is what he plans to do as Medusa closes the space between them. Thankfully for her he had not come wearing his chainmail. Instead, he allowed her teeth to sink into the meat of his shoulder.
Gil held steady as he braced against her strength. Sliding his paws against the ground as she held on, he managed to move them out of the way as she attempted to stomp on him. “That’s cheap,” he growled with playful notes as he lifted his chin to wind up. In the next moment, he curled his chin back toward his throat and slammed his head down to hopefully headbutt her on top of her head or to the side of her face.
