Save Your Breath

He was lucky he didn't make much of a target, and he cautiously thrust the bottle at the red man before digging through the small bag of supplies he had dragged with him. It was such a bitch of a spot to get anything to stick to, and the young boy grumbled under his breath to send his bird to go find Friar. He'd eventually have to track down some sort of fingered companion of his own but for right now, he thought his mum was probably too shitfaced to notice if he borrowed hers.

Until some sort of fingered companion arrived to assist with the bandages though, Sakana pulled out a small ball of yellow tacky paste and wordlessly offered it to the old man, hoping it might knock him out. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass to process he'd be less belligerent about offering it up, but it took so many flower pods, and scratching and dripping and drying to even get this tiny amount.

Next he pulled out a poultice, ground together with marigold, comfrey and aloe. It would keep the wound clean and moist, and hopefully prevent too many germs from getting in. Hopefully it would also take some of the bite out of it, while the prospective healer figured out if he wanted to dress the wound and leave it open to heal on its own, or if there was enough give in the flesh that was left to stitch it closed... Y'know what he really needed right now? Fish skin. He'd have another job for his bird once it was back.
