?So pleased to see our Jester has returned to us,? he would state with a chortle. Pleased, he was not, but amused he was. A smirk passed his lips but soon faded as he noted the man's sullen appearance, and the tear that had left a trail upon his cheek. ?What seems to be the problem?? The King was mildly irked that it was Bane of all creatures taking up his time during a siege, but he would not let that show.. much. Tail twitched as he rocked onto his haunches, tilting his head and preparing for what he was sure would be a very well rehearsed story. Emerald eyes set upon the man who had a family and a beautiful wife - two things the very stubborn Maverick truly believed he didn't deserve. Such a pity, the fire that burned hot and white for Bane within his chest. It was small wonder it hadn't gone out yet, but it seemed i was determined to flicker on.
