Ever since her sister's bird came to tell her about her sister's desire to visit Auster again and the purpose behind it, she had been listening for Kite's howl and waiting for her to appear. She knew all too well what it was like to care about and be worried about someone who lived somewhere else so agreeing to escort her sister to see the boy that she had eyes for was a no brainer. She knew her father would never have agreed and while she wasn't a fan of lying to the Warlord, she didn't see the harm in hiding the full truth either as long as she was still involved to make sure Kite was safe.
She had been in the garden with Solaire when she heard her sister's call from the border and her ears immediately perked at the sound. She tasked Marigold with keeping an eye on her inquisitive son to make sure he didn't get into any herbs he shouldn't be touching and then turned to lope out toward the edge of the plains to meet her. As she neared the border she noticed Kite was alone which was surprising since she had fully expected her to have an escort of some kind with her. She did smell Basilisk's scent, but the massive wolf was nowhere to be seen. Clearly he had deposited her here and quickly made his retreat. She frowned a bit at that, but quickly brushed off the thought before she came over to greet Kite, saying, "Welcome back," as she leaned in to give her sister a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so glad to see you again! I do wish it was just a visit for fun, of course, but I'm happy you're here regardless."
