She had to admit, this kid was a better fighter than most of the other kids she had sparred with before! She was putting up a pretty good fight, and Medusa briefly wondered who taught her. She didn't have much time to think though, because the pair were both in close quarters and trying to bash each other in. Her head missed its mark on the other girl's head and instead crashed somewhere else on her body. She didn't know where, but she didn't stop to think about it. Unfortunately for her, her taller opponent managed to spin around and grab her scruff. Medusa was yanked back, a, "eep" of surprise slipping from her jaws. The Wraith was losing her balance, and so as a last-ditch effort, she figured that if she was going down, Bramble was coming with her. She scrabbled for purchase on the other girl's body. A hug, claws twisting into her fur, something! Her teeth also sought to grab something, and in this case, the cloak the other girl had. If she were lucky, she'd manage to grab the hood part of the cloak and drag it over Bramble's head, compromising her sight if only for a few moments while Medusa tried to reorient herself...hopefully.
