With Vidarr's wild head shaking, the kinkajou was finally sent flying to land with a heavy thump a ways away. Corbie cried out at seeing the little thing motionless, but couldn't wait to see if her friend was even breathing. An owl had dove for her face, the sharp talons forcing her to duck her head to protect her eyes from the vicious attack and leaving lacerations on her ears and brow. Behind her, the marauder's canine companions circled in an attempt to surround her, but Tam the faithful collie turned to snarl and snap at them both to keep space clear behind her. Vidarr's weight suddenly slammed into her, forcing the already-crouching Corbie nearly onto her belly. With her paws sprawled and claws digging in to hold herself up, muscles quivering, blinded by blood, she dragged her head up to attempt to sink her fangs deep into the bottom of his neck. Ren, leaving the other dogs to Tam's guard, threw her heavy body forward with a snarling roar to aim a bite for Vidarr's face, seeking to drive the larger wolf off her charge.
