Charlie’s focus had shifted. His trip to the island had left him feeling weird. He knew he needed to talk with his father, but his mind buzzed with a mixture of emotions. As he stepped back on the sands of the beach the yearling felt his fur standing on end. What was he supposed to feel? Should he have been angry? Hurt? He struggled to process his emotions. He needed to distract himself, slow his mind down. Then, after he managed to gather his thoughts he could approach his father. Maybe it would be worth talking to Andy first as well? The tawny yearling drew in a breath. It was alright. He was here, he was home, and he was safe within the Armada. Here he would have the time to process that trip. He tilted his head back, calling for a member of the Armada for a friendly spar. That could get his mind off things. If he was fighting, he wouldn’t have time to think. He’d have to just react.
