Needs More

Walk | Talk | Think
Callisto's knowledge of medicinal plants might have been small given that she had only run across one healer thus far and only learned of a handful of plants while she had been in his company, but the impression on her had been made. Now wherever she walked, her nose was always on high alert, testing the air and hoping that she might catch a scent of something familiar or strikingly different than her surroundings to tell her that something of importance was nearby. Most of what she had been able to find right off the bat had been sage plants, their shape and scent still fresh in her memory from when Cael had introduced her to it, but still others jumped out at her. Most of them she had no name for, nor any idea of what their use could be if they had one, but she made mental notes just the same.
Inside Ludicael, she had already started to collect. With the weather having moved from summer to fall, what she had been able to find was minimal at best but still within a little corner of the pack's territory she held a small collection of sage leaves. It was not so big as to encourage boasting, but as she stood before the little pile in a small alcove she had dug out from beneath on of the mangrove trees in a dryer part of the territory there was no mistaking the small yet proud smile that formed upon her features. Far from the meticulously cultivated stores that most healers claimed, Callisto still saw greatness in her own work, as if the small pile of rumpled leaves was equally as impressive as any full fledged healer's den might have been. But it needed more...
The young pup turned away from the small storage den upon confident grey paws, her silvery blue eyes for one holding contentment and eagerness as opposed to the customary boredom and disinterest. Dark ears perked atop her head as she began to pace away from her herbal collection, the black nose at the end of her muzzle twitching as she was already taking stock of what was on the air, in particular what else might have been growing around this same forest. She might not have minded wandering, but for convenience's sake having the plants actually close at hand would have been incredibly nifty. Curious and for one comfortable with her adventures, Callisto padded quietly along by herself, eyes and nose alert for objects of interest while her ears listened for any unwanted approach.
