He listened with great curiosity as his dad spoke of other unnatural structures he had come across. It helped Kea see how big the world was. How full of strange wonders he hadn’t encountered before. There was so much to see, to explore. But it was also hard to step away from home long enough to investigate them. He loved travelling, but he was worried he would be away when his family needed him.

There's at least one big cat that calls the island home by the scents” he would add, wondering if there was something in particular his father was looking for. “Some of these buildings look a little unsteady, but they must have been that way for a long time?”
